Fundraiser Fashion Frenzy!!!!!

Sunday's Fashion Show was a huge success for the Illinois Make A Wish foundation. Spa Bleu sponsored the fashion show to raise money to make a local child's wish come true. The models were coifed with Aveda products by Spa Bleu's talented stylists and decked out in the latest winter fashions provided by Macy's. La Strada Restaurant was the backdrop for the fashion show and silent auction which raised $7,000 to grant a Wish. I was thrilled to have been a part of this event and hope to grow the dollars by donating 50% of the profits from the prints & products sold at this event. Here's a favorite of mine from a recent wedding this fall. I love the brillant colors of the stained glass that seems to glow behind this fabulous couple. It must be a sign of the bright future they have ahead of them. Congratulations to Veronica & Chris!

Donate to Make A Wish come true!

Save the Date! Spa Bleu will be hosting it's 2nd annual Make A Wish fundraiser & fashion show on Sunday, December 9th. The fashion show and festivities will be held at La Strada Ristorante located in Hoffman Estates from 6-10 pm.

Your donation of $50 will go towards the Make A Wish foundation and provide you with an evening of food and fun.

All of the festivities will be captured by myself as I have been asked to volunteer to photograph this fabulous event. Be sure to get your tickets early, this is an event you won't want to miss!

From Russia With Love

Congratulations to Robbie & Sherry! They have long awaited the addition of Ally & Lauren into their home. After months of paperwork and travel to Russia, Robbie & Sherry adopted these two beautiful sisters. They are now home in the USA and are settling in nicely. I wish them all the best and much happiness with their new family.

Newlyweds Christina & Steve have been "grace"d. They welcomed home their beautiful baby girl on July 11, 2007. I had the pleasure of photographing her when she was just 3 weeks old. How precious is that? Congratulations to the new Mom & Dad!

Attention to Detail

Every Bride has a vision for her Wedding Day. Some dream of this from when they were very young. She spends countless hours and money on the specifics of her dress, flowers, shoes, hairstyle and even the type of perfume she will wear. Capturing these small details is of great importance to a photographer so they will not be forgotten in the years to come. The photographs also add to the documentation of this very special occasion through the romance, mystery and drama of the Bride preparing to meet her Groom.

Here's a little one I recently photographed. You can see why it's so much fun to go to work. Say hello to Malia! Isn't she beautiful? and maybe a little bashful. Although, she warmed right up to the camera with a little help from Mom and her big sis. She was a such an angel and didn't even fuss when she was subjected to posing like a stuffed teddy bear.
